Circles V2 Launches with a Vision for Fairer Money on Gnosis Chain
Circles V2 has officially launched, marking a significant evolution in the project’s mission to create a decentralized, community-first monetary system. Originally conceived in 2020 as an experiment in universal basic access (UBA) to currency, the revamped version introduces a refined economic model and a stronger focus on fairness.
Co-founder Martin Köppelmann describes Circles as a radical reimagining of money itself. "It questions the fundamentals of how money works and proposes a better alternative," he told supporters during the launch. The project, now part of the Gnosis Chain ecosystem, represents the culmination of a decade-long development process.
Unlike centralized identity-driven distribution models such as Worldcoin, Circles offers an egalitarian approach where every participant contributes to and benefits from the system equally. This launch reaffirms crypto’s potential to challenge traditional financial paradigms.
